Sonia Allen is a painter, printmaker, sketchbook artist, and avid knitter. Since 1998 she has been a teaching artist throughout the Willamette Valley with Salem Art Association, Bush House Museum, and Ash Creek Center. Sonia has led youth art sessions on international ministry trips. in 2017 she was awarded a grant to use art and sience to educate children in Pierce County, WA, about invasive weeds. In 2022 she taught at Kraxberger Middle School in Oregon City as part of a grant from the Lake Oswego Center for the Arts. 

Eric J. Frey is an interdisciplinary artist based in Dallas, Oregon primarily focused on the phenomena of creating artwork dealing with concepts of memory and thought transference through objects. Eric is currently an adjunct art instructor at Chemeketa Community College. 24 years of military experience have shaped his believes in the transient presence, and the necessity to create in a world filled with destruction. He has a BFA in Art and Design from Western Oregon University, and an MFA in Studio Arts at Studio Arts College International in Florence, Italy. His work ranges from digital photography, woodblock and linoleum prints, installations, to sculptural works in local, regional, national, and international art exhibitions.

Cari Goin has lived and taught in Los Angeles for over 20 years. She has taught theatre from Pre-K through high school, having put on numerous productions, including scripted theatre, musicals, and student created works. Her passion is creating original theater pieces in unusual spaces. She believes theatre fosters imaginations, empathy and creative collaborations. She currently teaches ELA at Duniway Middle School in McMinnville and runs an after school drama club.

Stephanie Juanillo is a mixed media artist working in painting, printmaking, sculpture, collage, and installation. She graduated from Linfield University in 2022, with a B.A. in Studio Arts and has been teaching art for the last three years at the Chehalem Cultural Center, Salem Art Association and Ash Creek Arts Center. As an artist, she believes in using art as a tool for advocating, educating, and fostering community. Her classes prioritize and honor self expression through connection and creating a space for kids to feel both seen and heard.

Melvin Lee studied Art, including Calligraphy, at the University of Oregon. He began sign painting in 1970 in Vancouver BC. He owned and operated Studio Sign Company in Portland, OR, from 1985 to 2020. He has taught in a number of sign and lettering workshops in the past.

Noah Miller is a Music Education student at Western Oregon University with a focus on secondary choral and general music teaching. For over a decade, he has actively pursued theatre, dance, and multiple forms of musical performance as well as instruction. Some of his favorite performances are in Swimming in teh Shallows (as The Shark) Footloose (as Ren McCormack) Little Women (as Laurie), The Fantasticks (as Matt), and dance ensemble in Cinderella. Noah is currently an instructor at Northwest School of Music and has extensive experience in teaching dance, piano, voice, and music theory.

Rusty Rae is an award winning photographer who has been making photographs most of his life. He has worked for a number of publications, newspapers, magazines, and web sites both writing and making photographs. Currently he is one of the photojournalists for the News Register in McMinnville. He is a former Nikon school instructor. “I love helping photographers learn to see and then take what they see and capture the image with their cameras.”

Jessica Rehfield is a social artist with a background in painting, drawing, printmaking, and fiber arts. They grew up in Alaska and have a Bachelor’s degree in Studio Art and an MFA in Drawing and Painting from Oregon College of Art nd Craft. Jessica curates and plans exhibits and was an Artist-In-Residence at Salem Art Association and The Arts Center (in Corvallis) where they currently teach Summer Arts programs, and at Ash Creek Arts Center where they teach Drawing From Life, Printmaking and Illustrated Zines. Jessica appreciates sharing skills with students that can be used across multiple mediums including paper-folding, creative thinking, and sewing skills.
